Originally created in the early 1990s to help fund the purchase of the American Hop Museum building, only 150 signed and numbered statues were produced. The sculpture is based on t he four-foot "Hands of Harvest" monument located in the Old Timers Plaza in Toppenish, Washington, and was named with the approval and assistance of the Yakama  tribal members.
